Tremplin Jeunes Talents, second edition

Inventing the DIY home of the future : that was the goal of our participants. Students, designers and craftsmen were invited to design and execute original projects to invent the home of the future.
I designed a website to present and retrieve designers applications and then, promote this RFP. At the end, for the final step, I produced prints, flyers, magazines and then, the scenography.

Creative concept

Our creative concept was inspired by the DIY mechanics spirit. For the design of the contests’ logo, we created a typography based on modules; it highlights the Open design concept. The use of a Green Blue gradient expresses evolution and modernity. The white spaces bring light and freshness. Dark Blue emphasises readability and provide a more serious technical background. The mechanical concept allows for modular shapes, which fit together thanks to nodes or screws, to highlight the concept of manufacturing, assembly and DIY.

Different
steps

Students, designers and craftsmen were invited to design and execute original projects to invent the DIY home of the future. The first step of this competition consisted of collecting submitted projects. Next, the judges chose the top 20 submissions. Web users had the option to vote for the project they favoured.
